Arts（MINA）が初めて開催する展覧会です。\u003cbr\u003eミュージアムをオープンするにあたり最初に注目したのは、その存在を世界に伝える最も象徴的な媒体である「ミュージアムポスター」でした。\u003cbr\u003eポスターが担う役割を「広告性」と「公共性」のふたつに分解し、グラフィック、スカルプチャー、の２人の作家による作品を通して、アートが”メディア”として果たしうる役割を探ります。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eメディアは、特定の情報や視点に触れる機会を増やすことで、社会問題や政治への関心を喚起し、文化を豊かに変容させてきました。\u003cbr\u003e都市そのものをメディアとして捉えるなら、日本の、特に渋谷のまちは、広告によって埋め尽くされていると感じるでしょう。渋谷は、広告と都市が一体化した象徴的な場所として世界に認識されています。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eしかし、情報とサービスで溢れる現代社会において、広告は短時間に量産され、スキップされる対象となり、「人の関心を惹きつけるもの」としての役目を果たしにくくなっています。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMINAは、アート作品を「豊かな暮らしに長く寄り添うメディア」として捉えます。\u003cbr\u003e都市の中で日々生まれ、消費され、忘れられていく広告のリズムとは異なる時間軸を持つ作品に触れながら、来場者がそれぞれの“公共”を再考し、想像しなおすための場となることを目指します。\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003ciframe question through practice, the exhibition presents posters, original materials, and other archival documents created by graphic designer Katsumi Asaba, who has deep ties to Shibuya continue to represent for the artist.\u003cbr\u003eA museum is fundamentally an institution for recording and preserving. Yet records are never fixed; they change according to whose perspective selects them and how they are edited.\u003cbr\u003eThroughout her career, Yurie Nagashima has viewed photography not as evidence of events, but as traces generated through relationships. Through self-portraits and snapshots, she has documented the ever-changing nature of the self and others as they evolve over time.\u003cbr\u003eThe exhibition consists of works from three series:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli aria-level=\"1\" dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA series presented at the 2025’s exhibition “Garage Sale\", that features collages and drawings of cats onto earlier works.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli aria-level=\"1\" dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA series of street snapshots taken in 1994 while Nagashima was working part-time handing out tissue packets at the entrance to Shibuya Center-Gai. Presented here as a reference to MINA's location in Shibuya.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli aria-level=\"1\" dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA series of monochrome works (produced in 2018), created by making analogue prints from negatives the date of which are forgotten, mounted on plywood and transformed into tables for MINA.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is the first exhibition to bring together representative works from each decade - from the 1990s through the 2020s - in a single space, presented as an archive.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'San Francisco', 'Segoe UI', Roboto, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif; font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003eWhat takes place here is not simply a re-exhibition of past works. Rather, the artist intervenes once again in documented images, layering a different time period upon them. Instead of remaining fixed as completed works from the moment they were first exhibited, they continue to be repeatedly edited and transformed, appearing before us as living, evolving entities. The photos are not merely objects for appreciation.
